May God bless u dear Tamera..

You have written so well and it is so meaningful.

We have all had our share of ashes and we have questioned God for letting it happen in our lives. We have dwelt on it with sadness, disappointment, hatred etc. But God does shower his blessings upon us and thise blessings wash away all those ashes away from us. Even for me, only since I grew closer to our Lord did the pain vanish. In place of bitterness, I have joy.. I can understand people better since I have been there.

May God shower upon u and ur family abundant blessings.

Tamera,

Like always, Awesome Post!!! I also agree on the importance of giving your ashes to GOD. I'd like to share something something someone once sent me:

Ashes represent what’s left over when everything is burned up. These ashes represent your broken dreams, your disappointments, your hurts and your pains. For God to give you beauty from ashes, an exchange must occur. You can’t hold on to your ashes and receive something beautiful. You have to lay aside the ashes and accept the bouquets of roses God has for you. Accept God’s promise that you “can do all things through Christ” who strengthens you. Accept that God makes you the head and not the tail, to be lenders and not borrowers. He wants you to be the victor, not the victim! Make a decision to let go of the ashes of the past and grasp the “roses” God has for you.

A prayer for Today:
God, help me to lay aside the things that are holding me back and accept the good things You have to give me. I praise You today for Your love to me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

I love the book of Isaiah for some reason everything that is taught out of that book reaches out to me. As you know I just had to literally give over ashes to God it wasn't any easier than the ashes you talk about. I don't know if the feelings go with the ashes or thay stay, maybe both. Love you Mom
