		<description>This is one of my favorite stories in the Bible. I remember hearing a sermon about this Scripture. The pastor said new kings usually killed relatives of former kings so they couldn't attempt to take back the throne. He also talked about how Mephibosheth was lame and probably hadn't had a very good life to this point and thought he would be executed rather than invited to sit at the King's table. Its a insightful picture into how we deserve to be executed but are instead invited to sit at the King's table.
