About Me 6:32 am
My name is Tamera Svanes (pronounced swan-es) and I live in rural North Dakota.
I am married eight years to Dana, a wonderful Norwegian farmer/rancher who was raised in a house just two miles from where we live right now.
I have four incredible children: Olivia is seven, Sophia is five, Josiah is three, and Mariah is two.
I grew up in Kansas where I attended college. After four years of college and working in a hospital for a year, I decided to go to medical school. I attended Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 1993.
After finishing residency, I began traveling around the Midwest working as a locum tenens physician. On assignment in North Dakota, I met my future husband. I worked several years as a physician in Jamestown, North Dakota. Shortly before the birth of our third child, I came home to care for my growing family and begin homeschooling.
I LOVE being a stay-at-home-mom. I know now that is my true calling.
My biggest personal struggle is with consistency. I feel God is helping me work in this area of my life and I would like to share with others. I hope you’ll join me.See my personal blog at http://www.TameraSvanes.com/blog
